Today we are beginning our journey at Luton Airport in the early hours, for a very early departure towards Naples.
The departure area is very empty, with mainly arrivals coming in from the likes of Spain and Greece.
EasyJet check in counters are very easy to spot, they take up most of the check in area and will be the first airline counters you see when arriving at the airport. For me, I was only carrying a bag, therefore this wasn't needed.
There are many early morning departures out of Luton, so it's best to get through security as quick as possible to avoid the early morning rush.
The security process was a breeze and I'm through within 5 minutes! There are new scanners at all UK airports now, which make the process even more efficient and quicker.
The terminal is empty which is always a sight to behold, but not for long…
The Wizz A321's resting
After a bit more of a wait, the sun is rising at 5am already revealing one of the hundreds of A320s in easyJet's fleet.
Not long later, the gate is called for our flight, EZY2493.
The aircraft I am taking is a May 2013 built A320 aircraft. A beauty!
Welcome onboard, a typical 3-3 configuration.
Today I've been randomly selected 17F.
easyJet have the nicest looking cabins of the low cost airlines in Europe in my opinion. A nice fabric texture, and colour combination. When seated, they are super comfortable, with decent padding, and head cushioning, which isn't seen on the likes of Wizz Air.
Legroom is average and on-par with other low-cost airlines. Infront, a coat hook, table tray and advertisement. What's even better is individual air vents for each seat, better than some premium carriers!
A single fold, rather small table tray is provided. A little bit dirty however.
17F provides some lovely views of the wing. Not long later it's time for an ontime pushback and departure.
In each seat pocket, there is the safety card and inflight magazine.
The food is decently priced, and there's a wide variety, from snacks, to hot food like pizza, and a range of beverages. If you wish to purchase on easyJet, remember, they only take card!
For me, I will enjoy my meal deal which I purchased at Luton Airport as my breakfast.
Other than this, it was a rather uneventful flight, no thrills, which is good. I slept throughout most of the flight, since it was such an early departure. In no time, we are on approach into Naples, approach from the West.
Welcome to Naples, thanks for coming along!
